It's been awfully quiet on the China Adoption Rumor front. I was really hoping to hear from my agency on Monday May 3 with a referral. So many of my friends have asked me, "How do you stay so calm". Deep down, I'm the farthest from calm. Every waking moment I have my mind wanders to my Allyson. I wonder if she is in an orphanage or a foster home, whether she is healthy and fells loved, how old she is and even if she may actually be a boy. (If we are referred a boy. we'll be in such trouble. We are all-prepared for a girl!). Through the four year wait I've learned that if I just keep my worries and anxiety to myself, it's a whole lot easier to deal with everything. I'm lucky to have such supportive friends and family!
But, in all honesty.......BRING ON THE PHONE CALLS AND THE REFERRALS!!!!
In other news, it an attempt to keep myself busy and without a lot of free time to worry about things, I volunteered to work at the Kentucky Derby tomorrow. I'm getting up at 4am to drive to Louisville and sell concessions as a fundraiser for our band. The weather forecasters are calling for some MAJOR rainfalls this weekend. I just pray we are under cover somewhere. I'm excited to experience the Derby for the first time!
